Consumer confidence about eating and drinking out remains high
New research from CGA suggests that more 70% now feel confident about visiting pubs, bars and restaurants. This is more than double the number of 34% who felt confident at the start of 2021, and a sharp increase on the total of 52% from CGA’s research in July.
Costa Coffee and M&S create UK-wide food and coffee offer
Costa Coffee and M&S Food, two of the nation’s favourite high street brands, have announced a new collaboration, with ‘Costa Coffee Now Serving M&S Food’. Launching next year, customers will be able to choose from over 30 M&S Food products, including new lunch options, hot meal boxes and children’s food. Available in over 2,500 Costa Coffee stores across the UK as well as via Drive-Thru lanes the range will build on Costa’s current food range and coffee.

The UK’s first ever “Trust in Food” Index has been launched by Red Tractor and YouGov, capturing the UK public’s attitudes to food and drink.
